Mr. Jose B. Morales is an agronomy professional. Alongside with his wife Lotty Aymat, children Angela and Jose, this family labors, cultivates and hand-picks their coffee.

In 2003, Mr. Morales began purchasing coffee from a select group of agriculturists with the goal of improving the quality of Puerto Rico's coffee.  His efforts achieved the perfect ripeness of coffee beans for maximum flavor and the promise to pick their coffee on the same day it ships for provide maximum freshness.

The Puerto Rico Department of Agriculture referred Borik'en to engage Gran Batey in 2015 as a partner in its quest to promote and sell coffee beans. Gran Batey is recognized as one of the best coffee farms on the island, with solid operations and coffee production.
